2025 Dance Information Booklet Click HERE [yet to be published]
The Country Week Dance component is coordinated by Rolanda Geneff.
Dance in Country Week will involve students participating in a number of dance workshops across 3 different dance genres, providing them with the skills and techniques to choreograph a dance work, which will be performed to an adjudication panel (and an audience).Â
The dance workshops will take place in the heart of the city’s performance precinct at the King Street Arts Centre (KSAC). [TBC]
Team sizes should be a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 10 students.Â
*Schools are permitted to enter teams with less than 6 students (if they are unable to make up a team of 6) – on the proviso that they understand that whilst they can receive assessment scores, they CAN NOT earn points towards the Champion Schools tally and trophy.
Teams can be comprised of students of different year levels.Â
It is not necessary for students to have any previous dance experience.Â
**Following receipt of all nominations, it may be necessary to restrict team sizes to align with venue capacities.
