TRIAL SESSIONS
Each trial can consist of a number of skill sessions and/or shortened games. Every endeavour shall be given to trialling players in the positions they have submitted on the Nomination Form. At this elite level, players must be able to play in a variety of positions. Selectors reserve the right to trial players in equivalent positions e.g. Striker, Midfield or Defence.
ATTENDANCE AT TRIALS
Attendance at all trials is compulsory unless exceptional circumstances (School Assessments & Camps) apply and prior permission is sought wherever possible from the Coach or Manager.
TRIAL SQUAD SELECTION
The number of players carried through from each trial to the next is at the discretion of the selectors.

Uniforming and Parent Information Meeting

Time: 5.30pm (Uniform Fitting)
      6.30pm (Meeting)

Trial Cost
$50.00
Please be advised that if selected:
The cost of a HOME CHAMPIONSHIP will be approximately $800 – $1500 depending on the accommodation option.
The cost of an AWAY CHAMPIONSHIP will be between $2000 – $2700 dependent on venue and time on tour.
Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel as a team and accommodate with their parent/guardian. Flights have been pre booked and deposits paid for all athletes and officials.  If individuals opt off the group flight booking, a $50 cancellation fee will be charged upon final invoice.
Any variation to this model will be communicated at the parent information meeting.
BOYS TRIALSÂ
TRIALS
1st Trial – Monday 22 April, 9am – 3pmÂ
Location – UWA Hockey Club
Players need to arrive a minimum 30 minutes before.
Bring along all required playing equipment including stick, mouth guard and shin pads.
Drink bottle and sunscreen and food for the day. Uniform- no state branded clothing. Preference for school team or club uniform. Numbered singlet will be provided.
2nd Trial – Sunday 28 April, 6am – 8amÂ
Location – UWA Hockey Club
Players need to arrive a minimum 30 minutes before.
Bring along all required playing equipment including stick, mouthguard and shin pads. Drink bottle and sunscreen.
Uniform- no state branded clothing. Preference for school team or club uniform. Please bring shirt or singlet and numbered bib will be provided.
3rd Trial – Sunday 5 May, 6am – 8amÂ
Location – UWA Hockey Club
Players need to arrive a minimum 30 minutes before.
Bring along all required playing equipment including stick, mouthguard and shin pads. Drink bottle and sunscreen.
Uniform- no state branded clothing. Preference for school team or club uniform. Please bring shirt or singlet and numbered bib will be provided.
SQUAD SELECTION

Trial 1 – Saturday 13 April, 8am – 10:30am

Trial 2 – Sunday 14 April, 8am – 10:30am

Trial 3 – Saturday 20 April, 8am – 10am
Players need to arrive a minimum 30 minutes before.
Bring along all required playing equipment including stick, mouthguard and shin pads.
Uniform – please do not wear state branded clothing.
Preference for school team or club uniform.
Numbered playing bibs will be provided.
Drink bottle and sunscreen.
A squad will be announced via the SSWA website with the selected players invited to attend two additional sessions.

To be eligible for selection nominees must:
Be a full time student at a secondary school/college.
Be 15 years or under as of the 31 December in the year of competition.
Nominations open late January in the year of the competition.
