IMPORTANT information
Please read all information prior to nominating for trials below
Registrations for the Football (Soccer) 12s WA State Schools team will open at the end of January.Â
Players eligible need to be 11 or 12 years of age in 2025.Â
There will be 4/5 open trials and players are welcome to attend all open trials.Â
Once the nomination form is completed and trial fee is paid there is no correspondence required to be sent from SSWA to families. Parents/caregivers are to take the player to the trial/s.

The total cost of the Championship is estimated at $1000 (this does not include any flights or accommodation), less fund raising.
Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel and accommodate with their parent/guardian. Flights have been booked for team officials and their flight information will be provided at the parent information meeting.
Any variation to this model will be communicated at the initial trial
BOYS TRIALS 2025
Phase 1:
Coaches will be attending Under 12 & Under 13 Club games from 16th April to 11th May.
Phase 2:
North Trial 1 – Saturday 17th May, 3:30pm-5:30pm        Â

South Trial 1 – Saturday 24th May, 3:30pm -5:30pm        Â
Venue:Â Aubin Grove Com. Oval
North Trial 2Â – Saturday 31st May, 3:30pm -5:30pm

South Trial 2 – Saturday 7th June, 3:30pm -5:30pm

Peel Trial – Saturday 14th June, 11:00am-2:00pm

Players selected from the above trials will be invited to attend 2 x 3 hour trials on Saturday 21st and 28th June from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Venue: Aubin Grove Community Oval
Players must have participated in at least one of the above trials to be able to be selected for the next phase.
Phase 3:
Please note: Players who were unable to attend the previous
trials, and have registered, will be able to attend the following 2 x 3 hour trials.
Trials 5 and 6
2 x 3 hour trials on Saturday 21st and 28th June
from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Players must have participated in at least one of the
above two trials to be eligible for selection for the next phase.
Phase 4:
Squad of players selected
Final team of up to 14 players and train-on players will be selected after the 26th July.

South Trial 1 – Saturday 17th May, 9:00am to 10:30am

Trials for selected group
Players selected from the trials will be invited to attend 2 further trials on Saturday 21st and 28th June from 9:00am to 10:30am.
Venue: Aubin Grove Community Oval
Squad training sessions will also be from 9:00am to 10:30am unless otherwise advised.
Trials venues are:
South – Aubin Grove Recreation Centre, 71 Camden Blvd Aubin Grove
North – Carine Open Space
Peel – Bortolo Park Mandurah
Players to attend a weekend training camp and will stay overnight if VENUE IS ABLE TO BE BOOKED. NO COST TO PARENTS. Saturday 5th and 6th. (Venue TBC)
If a suitable venue is not able to be booked players will train on Saturday, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th July at Aubin Grove Community Oval from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
After trials all training will be at Aubin Grove Recreation Centre
Championships are open to all West Australian students, whether or not they are members of an affiliated club. Students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full time student at a recognised educational institute
- Be 11 or 12 years as of 31 December in the year of competition
*Students must not turn 13 in the year of competition*
*Students who turn 11 in the year of competition and who are selected in the final team must be accompanied to the event by a parent or nominated guardian even if the student stays in the team accommodation.
All SSWA teams are selected on merit according to the published selection process for that team or sport.
