PRIMARY CHAMPION SCHOOLS HANDBALL

Schools may enter a maximum of one team of 7 players + up to 4 reserves in each division – Boys A & B / Girls A & B.  Minimum entry requirement is two teams e.g. 1 x A team and 1 x B team (same gender) or 1 x Boys A and 1 x Girls A. 

Note: a ‘B’ team will only be accepted if an ‘A’ team of the same gender is entered.

A trophy will be awarded to the Champions and Runner-Up Champions in all 4 divisions (Boys A; Boys B; Girls A; Girls B)

Perpetual shields will be presented to the Overall Champion Boys, Overall Champion Girls and Overall Champion School.  A school must be represented in all divisions to be eligible for the Champion School Perpetual Shield.

• The event will be conducted as a round robin with results based on rankings at the completion of the final round.  If team numbers are low a finals structure may be added.
• Points – Win = 2 points    Draw = 1 point
• Teams may comprise students in Years 5 or 6.
• All teams must have a coach/manager.
• All handball courts are located on the school’s oval
• Each game consists of two halves

Umpires: Each school is to provide one referee (if required) with a good understanding of the most up-to-date Modified Handball rules.

First Aid:  Is the responsibility of all schools with the host school providing ice packs.
