Since its establishment in 1981, School Sport Australia has been responsible for the development and promotion of school sport in Australia. The focal point of School Sport Australia activities has been the interstate competitions offered at both primary and secondary levels. These are the culmination of state based programs and offer the gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition. These events are an integral part of the School Sport Australia program, not only for their sporting benefits, but also for the immense educational, cultural and social benefits they provide for the participants. SSWA is selecting a team to participate in the 2025 School Sport Australia Championships. The SSWA Interstate Golf 12’s team will consist of 8 males and 4 females as per SSA Sport Participation Policy. |

Trial Cost

Please be advised that if selected:
The cost of a HOME CHAMPIONSHIP will be approximately $800 – $1500 depending on the accommodation option.
The cost of an AWAY CHAMPIONSHIP will be between $2000 – $2700 dependent on venue and time on tour.
Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel as a team and accommodate with their parent/guardian. Flights have been pre booked and deposits paid for all athletes and officials.  If individuals opt off the group flight booking, a $50 cancellation fee will be charged upon final invoice.
Any variation to this model will be communicated at the parent information meeting.

Interstate representatives must:
Be a full time student at a recognised DoE educational institution.
Be 12 years of age or under as at 31 December in the year of competition.
When travelling interstate 11 year olds, if selected, must be accompanied by a parent.
Nominations open late January in the year of the competition.
